Nepal celebrates World Environment Day each year by tourism entrepreneurs, government organizations, conservationists, students, media persons and local communities organizing programs like river cleaning, tree plantation, cleaning of debris in the mountain area etc. The day is taken as an opportunity raise awareness among people and develop ideas towards the sustainability of mother earth.
